Safe days are when..: When her husband is out of town. Otherwise, no day is 100% safe. For example, IF a woman has very regular 30-day cycles, Day 1 would be her first day of period bleeding, Day 16 would be her ESTIMATED ovulation date (so having sex from Day 12 through Day 18 might allow 1 sperm to meet her egg). However, Days 9-11 and 19-21 are still moderately risky, because nobody knows exactly when ovulation is.
