Prolonged "period" ?: "Three weeks of continuous bleeding" is abnormal, and if pregnancy is possible, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy, as pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic) is possible and needs immediate attention by your gyn physician if the test is positive.
