Muscle discomfort: These symptoms may be due to strain or inflammation of the serratus muscle from exercising, occupation or housework. Chronic irritation or friction from a bra is a possible cause. Shingles may start this way, but usually a diagnostic rash appears after a week. A week of an anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen may be helpful.
