what could cause your hand to swell with a rotator cuff tear?

Dr. David Trettin

Edema/ fluid : Best to be examined. But swelling in the hand and fingers can occasionally occur after large rot cuff tears( esp w/ long head of biceps too). Edema can track down your arm into your hand w/ gravity.Unusual. Also can occur after arthroscopic rot cuff repair. See your ORS. Best of luck!
