One week: One week should be enough time to resume exercise and makeup after cataract surgery.

Ask your doctor: The average patient who undergoes cataract surgery can usually return to normal activities, bathing and use of cosmetics after about 1 week. Dependoing on how well you have recovered, or if there was any difficulty with your surgery, the doctor may advise waiting longer. The best person to ask is the surgeon who performed your cataract surgery.

Ask your surgeon: The time it takes to heal enough to resume normal activities depends on the way your surgery was performed. It's best to ask your operating surgeon about that. It should be covered in the paperwork you received after the operation.
