Exam needed: Lightheadedness can be caused by various disorders like low or high blood pressure,anemia, abnormal heart rhythm or other cardiac pathology,etc. A physician will take your history and system review,perform a physical examination and order appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis. Lying on your abdomen may restrict blood flow returning to your heart and could even raise blood pressure.
