Likely reaction: A localized sensitivity/redness usually points to a local contact with a soap/spray/ chemical/etc. . If you are aware of such an exposure in the day prior to noticing the problem, just avoid the stuff and it should fade within a week or so. If you can't think of a source, you & your doc may need to sort this out.
