May need examination: If a little skin vessel in a finger breaks and bleeds, that can form a blood blister or bruise. If there is no bleeding elsewhere, and one does not have a bleeding disorder, the finger should heal up on its own. If bleeding is started by moving a finger joint, and happens several times, a primary care doctor or a hand surgeon can check to see if a tendon, joint, or muscle is having a problem.
