Microscopic colitis?: Haven't heard of microbiotic colitis. Perhaps you mean microscopic colitis, which is an inflammation of the large intestine (colon) that leads to persistent diarrhea. Symptoms include nausea, abdominal pain or cramps, watery diarrhea, weight loss, etc... Diagnosis is confirmed by biopsy when a patient has his colonoscopy. Causes are not certain but may be bacteria, viruses, some medications, etc..
