is it okay to take miralax indefinitely for ibs-c? i've heard taking laxatives long term is not healthy but am unsure.

Miralax is OK: Miralax is not a typical laxative in that it does not change motility or irritate the bowel. Instead it draws water into the stool making it easier to pass.
It can be used chronically.
