A member asked:

My 3 month old refusing to drink. she cries every time we try to feed her. she is exclusively breastfed. she is definitely not getting in much?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor to evaluate: A 3 month-old baby (or any young baby) who stops feeding should see his doctor. He may be starting a new viral or bacterial illness. The problem could be ear pain, throat ulcers, head ache, tummy pain, fever, or something else that's preventing him from wanting to feed. If he hasn't stopped feeding but is just eating less, a voice or video call with his doctor may be adequate (vs. a clinic visit).
