Nondiagnostic: These symptoms and the red spot were nondiagnostic but could have been a very mild manifestation of herpes. Tingling of the lip is a rather common prodrome of a cold sore. A positive blood test for herpes simplex 1 antibody would be helpful only if your prior blood tests were negative.
