Tubal ligation: A tubal ligation should not have any effect on your menstrual periods. Most women continue to have their same normal monthly period after a tubal. If you are having irregular bleeding, you should see a doctor, as there is likely a different cause going on. It could be from a polyp, infection, or even a hormonal cause such as high or low thyroid.
