Cramping/pain: Lower back pain with cramps on oral bcp's can be caused by a urinary tract infection, or with taking the low dose bcp's irregularly. Get a urine culture, and if negative, try stopping the oral contraceptives, wait five days (not seven) and start a new package, taking the active pills within the same hour of the previous day's pill.
