Need information: Pressure on peripheral nerves can cause a temporary loss of motor or sensation function, but if the central nerve is healthy & the channel is intact, small nerves can grow at about 1/4 inch a week, so if the pressure was on the ball of your foot, it should recover in a few more weeks. Other conditions, however, can cause nerve numbness, such as diabetes, so health history & exam is helpful.
