Can metronidazole be broken in half, and then swallowed? i have a hard time swallowing it.

Yes: Almost all pills can be divided and swallowed independently. This cannot be done with pills that are enteric coated (like Edotrin coated aspirin) and most capsules contain powder which would spill if you tried to cut them in 1/2.
