Supplements: The FDA doesn't investigate supplements so most physicians don't recommend them. This also pertains to maca root products. What testing has determined that you require synthroid therapy? If you have hypothyroidism a proper dose of synthroid will keep your thyroid level in normal range. Unless you have other hormonal imbalances proven by lab work, you shouldn't need any supplements or hormonal Rx
