Periumbilical pain: Any difference with eating? Fever ? nausea? Do you have constipation? gas? May be benign like gas constipation ( drink 1 glass prune juice and try 1 tablespoon Maalox) or may be related to gallbladder, rarely kidney stone ( usually back) pancreas or appendix. Consult practitioner: Because so many important organs can cause abdominal pain, any persistant pain should lead to a visit to your practitioner. Most likely: minor bowel distress. Most dangerous: malignancy or infection. Strongly suggest you followup any persistant pain.
