I was giving a drug, pitocin, by the hospital and found out i was allergic to it. question, was the drug effect still suppose to take affect or no.

Drug allergies: Whenever a patient exhibits an unintended drug allergy response, the drug is immediately stopped and other medications are used to inhibit the allergic response. Therefore, Pitocin when given under this condition will not have its desired contraction response as it will not be given for a long enough duration for the same.

Interesting: I think more than likely you were allergic to an additive to the pitocin - because the human body MAKES pitocin - so unlikely you were allergic to the pitocin itself - so look into this - go to an allergist.
