Would bile problems cause the entire stool to be white or just small spots on the stool? doesn't look like mucous, it looks as hard as the stool.

Possibly: Blockage of bile entering the intestinal tract typically causes light or clay colored stools due to loss of bile pigment. With severe blockage the skin turns yellow and urine becomes dark or brownish.
