A 31-year-old female asked:
i am 31.will uterus size decrease? before a year my uterus size is normal but now in ultra sound it is showing small in size. what can be the reason?

"Smaller uterus" ?: Unless you were recently pregnant ( a year or so ago ? ) or have stopped having regular periods, the size of the uterus in the non-pregnant state is fairly constant at age 31. This may simply be a situation of the ultrasound measurement being incorrect.

A 23-year-old female asked:
Sources suggest that uterus size is 7.5x4x2.5 yet others say 8x4x4cm as being normal. Why is there this large disparity? I was worried by my ap 4.4cm.

Not significant diff: The normal range is an estimate of where 75% of the population falls, so there is little difference between 4.25 and 4 cm. 4.4 cm is not a significant varrience from the normal range to get worried about. If you are concerned discuss it with your doctor.

Three things: 1. In order to get pregnant you have to ovulate. With irregular periods this requires testing. 2. Your partners semen has to be healthy. 3. There has to be an open pathway through your Fallopian tubes to allow the sperm to reach the egg. All of these can be tested if you are having fertility problems.
