A cardiologist: may be your best "first step" specialist but in my opinion a General Internist or Family Medicine Specialist is perfectly adequate and furthermore can manage your blood pressure ALONG WITH YOUR ENTIRE medical status!! My opinion only Hope it's helpful! Dr Z
