Obsessions: These are often based on rational issues. For some it is a response to spiders, thunder, snakes, rabies, germs, etc. When they take over your life they are obsessions or a phobia. You need to find an unrelated life coach/therapist/psychiatrist who can help you discover the source. You may need meds to speed the process. With a bit of effort you can regain control of your life.

Life is not 100%: For just about anything but you can recover from phobia. Like the rest of us mortals certain things will be less pleasant or frightening than others. As long as your function and comfort is ok all will be well. Please see a clinical psychologist who works w/anxiety disorders. See "Feeling Good" book by Burns for some self-help too. Peace and good health.
