"Period" ?: The menstrual cycle is usually not so precise that it always occurs on a certain day. There are many reasons why menstruation may be delayed, for example if ovulation was delayed, the menstrual period starts about 14 days later, so it will be delayed as well. If there is a possibility of pregnancy, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain.
