Side pain: spotting: If your period lasted five days, and the pain occurred 5 days later, you may have ovulated with a cyst which burst causing the pain. Sometimes ovulation occurs early in one's late 30's, in which case, if you are not then pregnant, your period will start about 14 days after the "light pink blood".
