Emerg. contraceptive: Taking an emergency contraceptive " four days ago" will cause withdrawal bleeding to the estrogen in the pill. You did not mention your partner's age, but if in her mid 30's, the drop in estrogen prior to ovulation will also sometimes cause minor bleeding. If the period is late, get a serum HCG test to be certain of pregnancy.
