Needs evaluation: Constipation is common but is not associated with a fever and rarely causes severe pain. There are many different diagnosis possibilities, including UTI, appendicitis, viral or bacterial gastroenteriitis if vomiting or diarrhea is associated, and even strep throat and pneumonia can cause abdominal pain.
