Head jabs: Sharp,fleeting pains in the head are usually neuralgia jabs from an irritable or slightly inflamed superficial scalp nerve. These are not serious and usually resolve on their own. If they are around the ear,however,they could be due to inflammation there in view of discharge from the canal. If discharge persists see a physician as there may be an infection of the ear canal requiring ear drops
