Two weeks: To answer the question I think you are asking, if you have sex a week before the woman's period is expected, a blood pregnancy test should be positive by two weeks (and maybe sooner) if a pregnancy occurs and the period doesn't come. Conception can potentially occur up to 6 days after intercourse and a blood test will turn positive 8 or 9 days after conception.
