Maybe: The usual transitional jaundice of the newborn is gone within the first week or so. Persistence of mild jaundice is relatively common in some breast fed babies at 4 wks. However any significant jaundice at 4 wks should be evaluated. It can be from multiple worrisome problems that require medical treatment.
