IUD bleeding ?: During sex, the uterine muscle will undergo contractions which can push the IUD into the cervical canal and cause bleeding from scraping the walls of the canal. If this continues, get an exam from the physician who inserted the IUD to make sure it is in the correct location in the uterine cavity. This may require an ultrasound exam.
