A member asked:

Can an fertilised egg survive menstruation and implant after?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Implantation: A "fertilized egg" may not implant, and 14 days after ovulation, a menstrual period will occur. "Implanted" fertilized eggs will not have a menstrual period occur, but if implanted in an area outside the uterine wall (ectopic pregnancy), bleeding will occur which may appear to be a "period", but if a serum HCG is positive, see your OBGYN provider immediately.
