when constipated, i have to eat a lot (like 5 full meals per day) to make poop come out. is it normal for constipation?

Stool softeners : I recommend an OTC stool softener instead. Start out with miralax early when you are feeling constipated or bloated, there are several options you may ask a pharmacist about if you are overwhelmed by the options at the grocery store. This is much better than overeating to have a normal bowel movement.
