Stool softeners : I recommend an OTC stool softener instead. Start out with miralax early when you are feeling constipated or bloated, there are several options you may ask a pharmacist about if you are overwhelmed by the options at the grocery store. This is much better than overeating to have a normal bowel movement.

For the last three months, I've had bloating after each meal coupled with thinning stool and constipation. I had an endoscopy (normal), colonoscopy (removed 3 pollips), emptying test (normal), and so far one week on Xifaxan for SIBO, no improvement.
