Ectropion: usually benign growth of endocervical cells to the outer portion of the cervix. The itching may be a separate issuue like a female yeast infection or low grade bacterial infections. You will need a pelvic exam and testing for infection. Cervical redness is often seen in ectropion.

Ectropion: A doctor can examine you and tell you if you demonstrate cervical ectropion. This is a very normal finding in adolescents. There is mild eversion where the glandular cells from inside the cervix are more visible. An Obgyn should be able to look at your cervix and tell you if this is the case.
