A member asked:

My daughter is 15 and her height 5'2- 5'3 ft. she weighs 145-150 is that overweight for her. (p.s. she is an hour glass figure with wide shoulders)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Without getting too technical, one can simply estimate what a young woman should weigh by starting at 100 pounds for 5 feet in height, and adding 5 pounds for each inch above 5 feet. That means 62.5 inches tall matches a weight of 112 pounds. Even if one adds 5 pounds for bigger shoulders and muscles, 5 pounds for bigger thigh muscles, and 5 pounds for bigger breasts... that would only be 127 lbs.
