A member asked:

After a tubal pregnancy and having my fallopian tube removed i have, for a year, had intense upper stomach cramping and swelling once a month. it hap?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Upper GI cramps: If the removal of a fallopian tube was done via a surgical incision, adhesions (scar tissue) may have formed, and with increased intestinal activity, upper "stomach cramps" may occur. These cramps can also be caused by gall bladder disease, so consult your healthcare provider for testing and referral to a surgeon if the gall bladder is normal.
