Normal Lipids: There is a lot of variation in lipid levels, and what is considered normal depends on age and presence or absence of diabetes and heart disease. These are what would be considered normal lipids for a middle aged person without diabetes and heart disease: hdl > 40 (male) or > 50 (female) ldl.
