Opthalmology consult: Lutein & zeaxanthin in the macula decrease the risk of light-induced oxidative damage that could lead to macular degeneration (AMD). Keratoconus treatment depends on the symptoms. Vision can be corrected with eyeglasses with mild symptoms. Intacs, Collagen cross-linking & Corneal transplant may be used for more severe cases. Please see an ophthalmologist to discuss your condition.
