Very variable: From within 24 hours to never. Depends upon many factors: presence or absence of bladder reflux (vur), patients general state of overall health & inate immunity, virulence of bacteria causing the UTI (some bacteria have hair like projections and can climb thru the bladder/ureteral valve & ureter like a caterpillar), presence of structural abnormalities of urinary tract, etc.Etc.
