IPF: Interstitial pulmonary fibrosis is the one you mean. It can occur by itself or in association with other diseases, especially connective tissue disorders. It also can be a side effect of some medications, particularly methotrexate.

Several: There are actually multiple reasons to have restrictive lung disease or restrictive lung physiology. Scarring, or fibrosis, of the lungs is one of them. Some fibrosis occurs for reasons we do not know (idiopathic). Some fibrosis is from connective tissue disease. Additionally, neuromuscular diseases such as muscular dystrophy or myasthenia gravis can cause restrictive physiology as can obesity.
