Confusing question: Why would something someone cooks next door have anything to do with you ? If you actually consume it and have such a reaction avoid it. It would seem obvious that the okra or some additive used in cooking triggers a reaction in you. I doubt that exposure to the smell of cooking alone would be a problem. Please clarify such issues when you post a question.

Talk to your neighbo: If okra is causing your problem , you will need to seek a solution with your neighbor. Perhaps he can move the cooking area to a different site downwind from your home or find some way to divert or filter the steam or smoke from the cooking. Seeing an allergist is a good idea but if you are certain that okra is the cause, you will need to avoid the exposure regardless of the test results.
