A member asked:

Is it normal to have a sore throat every month for years at a time?

No: It is not normal to have pain in the throat unless there is a good explanation for it. Having any bodily symptoms for months at a time or years at a time is not normal... unless everybody in the same town has the same symptoms all the time. In that case, one might say that such pain was normal for that town... but we doctors would still argue that it was not normal. One's primary Dr. can help.

Sore throat: Theoretically it is possible if the patient is allergic and has a post-nasal,drip that has not been treated
