Go back to Abortion MD: Return to the abortion MD's clinic/office and a follow up ultrasound can be done to document that the uterus is empty. You can also do a repeat pregnancy test and if negative skip the clinic appointment.

Medical abortion: Obtain a serum HCG test to make sure it is negative. It will be positive if some placental tissue is still present. If negative, you are OK, and your normal periods will resume in approximately 4-6 weeks from now (if you are not pregnant).
