A member asked:

I am experiencing irregular menstrual periods (quality: spotting between periods) .

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"spotting": If you are taking oral contraceptives, spotting is common if you are sometimes taking the active pill a little later than one hour after taking the previous day's active pill, which will cause occasional "breakthrough bleeding" . If not on oral contraceptives, and this continues, schedule a visit with you gyn provider for testing.
