A member asked:

Hi, i've been off my contraceptives (nu-istrate 2month injection) for 10 months now and we are trying to get pregnant. i've taken ovulation tests, but all appear negative? my period is normal at 28/32 day cycles.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ovul tsts: negative?: Tests for ovulation may miss the actual peak of "luteinizing hormone" ( LH) , which is what the tests detect. With "regular cycles", ovulation is almost certainly occurring, but start testing on day 10 through 18 to be more certain to "catch" the LH peak. Fertility is possible for 3-4 days after the peak.
