Don't marry relative: The rule is "don't marry a relative." A biological exception could be if the relatives are older and beyond child-bearing age. But, the best thing to do is never to date relatives such as second cousins or first cousins. All people carry some recessive genes (some congenital glaucoma cases are recessive genes), meaning weird diseases can appear in the children of blood-related parents.
