Needs Follow-up: You did not say what treatment you had for the initial injury. Intermittent “locking” of the elbow is often cause by a “loose body” inside the joint that can move around. Sometimes bone spurs from the fracture can cause similar symptoms. You need a follow-up visit to your doctor for new x-rays and possibly a cat scan to look for loose cartilage or bone fragments

Need further studies: First, I would recommend an xray to see if there may be some spurring or post traumatic arthritis. If negative, I would then request an MRI to determine whether or not any ligament issues may be present. Maybe all that is needed is some specific physical therapy.Good luck!
