Is diphenhydramine safe to take with celexa?

It's OK: It's OK to take Diphenhydramine ( Benadryl) with Celexa But you should expect to be sedated more, might wakeup feeling groggy in the morning. It may be better to limit to take Diphenhydramine only if you really need it.

Drug interactions.: Mixing diphenhydramine with citalopram may increase chances for dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, & decreased concentration per Drug.Com drug interaction checker. But many people use these drugs together without untoward effects.
