Add aspirin?: A common medical joke concerns treatment for the common cold: With no treatment, symptoms clear up in a week. With maximum treatment, it takes 7 days. in other words, you have to live with your symptoms: you can reduce but not eliminate them. You could add aspirin or a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (e.g. ibuprofen) for aches and pains, but that's about it. Good luck!
