See a doctor: You'll need to be examined professionally. Trichomonas may cause itching but usually does not. Single dose metronidazole is only about 85-90% reliable; several days treatment is better. Metronidazole can trigger yeast infection, a very common cause of vaginal are itching. Don't try to work this out on your own. Good luck!
